The LDS Church, through its FamilySearch website (familysearch.org) has asked for volunteers to index census records and other valuable genealogical data so that such data might be searched on-line. Volunteers need not be members of the LDS Church. The Los Angeles Regional Family History Center (LARFHC) will be providing one-hour classes to help volunteers learn how to correctly and efficiently index such records. Classes will be available on a first-come, first-served basis. There is no class fee for these classes, but pre-registration is necessary.
Class: Saturday July 12, 2008 3PM to 4:30PM
On-line registration is available below, or reservations may be made by calling LARFHC at (310) 474-9990 during our normal operating hours. Dates for subsequent classes will be announced on this website. The class instructors will be Richard McBride the Director at LARFHC and Charlie and Lynnette Shipp Directors of the Palo Verdes Family History Center.Class Registration
