Before You Visit The LARFHC How to Get Started The Los Angeles Regional Family History Center or LARFHC was established in 1964 to service the needs of the then 6.4 million citizens of the Los Angeles metropolitan area. Non members are welcome and there is no charge for facility use. Last year 60% of those coming to the LARFHC were not members of the Church. The LARFHC has the LARGEST holdings of any branch in the Family History Library System of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. The center has access to the 2.4 million microfilms in the Salt Lake City Family History Library. The LARFHC offers patrons:

Come into the LARFHC to use a computer to gain FREE access to everything on Ancestry.com and obtain help from the many knowledgeable genealogy consultants. Access is via the east side of the Visitor's Center. Directions From the Santa Monica Freeway (10), exit on Overland going north to Santa Monica Boulevard. Turn right on "Big" Santa Monica Boulevard then an immediate left on Manning Avenue, first left on Eastbourne and the entrance to Temple Hill. Follow the signs to the Temple Visitor's Center.
