The great Sanborn Maps for only California cities may be accessed from the Los Angeles City Public Library's website at: http://search2.webfeat.org/la.html You need a Los Angeles City Public Library card number to access the maps. Enter your card number, Submit, Click on S-T databases and find and click on the Sanborn Maps 1867-1970 link. Then click Browse Maps, Select State, Select City and Select Date. Search the sheets for the street and address. Suggest you use city directories to find the address. For the best printed copy I suggest you do not choose "Print Current View" but choose "Download Map" and print the Acrobat Reader PDF image or right mouse click on the image and "Save Picture As" to a file and print. If you need the free Acrobat Reader to read PDF files you can download it at http://www.adobe.com/products/acrobat/readstep2.html

VA Offers On-Line Nationwide Gravesite Locator
"More than 3 million records showing where veterans have been buried in Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) national cemeteries are now available online. The innovation will make it easy for anyone with Internet access to search for the gravesite locations of deceased family members and friends." You can access this resource by using the link "The National Grave Locator" on the left at http://www.cem.va.gov/

The wonderful Heritage Quest website with it's U.S. Census resources may NOW be accessed from the Los Angeles City Public Library's website at: http://search2.webfeat.org/la.html You need a Los Angeles City Public Library card number to access the Heritage Quest website. Enter your card number, Submit, Click on "H" database and find Heritage Quest and finally click on Heritage Quest link.
