NOTICE
NEW FILM/FICHE ORDERING PROCEDURES
Effective 27 July, new procedures begin for patrons who order microfilm/microfiche.
The Sat 30 July class shown HERE will teach/demonstrate the change.
All film/fiche orders must be made by the Patron, using on-line ordering, as of 27 July. Patrons will be able to order from home.
Further information and instructions will be given in the class, or by staff as needed, from 27 to 30 July.

You may now order microfilm by mail and in person at
the LAFHL and the microfiche in person at the the LAFHL.

Instructions and Microfilm Order Form to Order by Mail
from the Los Angeles Family History Library

1. Before ordering ONLY a microfilm, use this link http://www.lafhl.org/microsearch.html to determine if the microfilm is available at the Los Angeles Family History Library (LAFHL). If it is not, then:
2. Print out this page - 1 copy for your records for each microfilm you want to order + 1 copy to mail with your order for each microfilm.
3. Fill out one order form for each microfilm as follows:
A. An order for Short-term Loan arrives about one week from receipt of your order and remains at the LAFHL for about 4 weeks after notification.
Charges: $5.50 + tax $0.54 = TOTAL $6.04
OR
B. An order for Extended Loan to LAFHL for the permanent collection.
Charges: $16.50 + tax $1.61 = TOTAL $18.11
4. Make check payable to LAFHL and mail check and mail order form(s) to:
